Recently we visited Statue Of Equality and it was an amazing trip. It would be really injustice if I wouldn’t share my tour with my readers. So in this post I am going to take all of you on a tour of world’s second tallest sitting statue i.e Statue Of Equality. The statue was inaugurated by Indian Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 5th February 2022. There is one small golden statue too inside the building that was inaugurated by Indian President Shri Ram Nath Kovind on 13th February 2022. Though it is open to visitors recently so many are not aware of this statue. So let’s know more about the statue.
What is Statue Of Equality ?
This statue is a statue of Ramanujacharya. He was an Indian Hindu philosopher and social reformer. The height of the statue is 216 ft. It is a monument that symbolizes equality among all and being compassionate towards each other.
Important features Of The Monument
The monument consists of a base building which is 54 feet tall, above this lies a lotus which has a diameter of 27 feet. This structure of lotus is surrounded by 36 elephants. The lotus of 27 feet diameter represents 24 tattvas and the rest 3 represent soul, god and the guru. And above this lotus there lies the statue of Ramanujacharya. There are 108 steps from the base to reach the statue. The statue is built of panchaloha sheet which consists of five metal alloy of gold, silver, copper, brass and zinc. There is meditation hall too in the first floor where there is golden deity of Ramanujacharya. This mini statue is made up of 120 kg of gold. This entire structure is surrounded by 108 model temples.

How to get there?
Statue Of Equality is situated on the outskirts of Hyderabad city. It is almost 1 hour drive from the city. And 16 km from Hyderabad international airport. If you are travelling by public bus then take a bus going towards Shadnagar and get down near Peddatopra. The statue from here is about 2km away so you can hire an auto from Peddatopra.
Though the most convenient way to reach there is by booking a private cab or taxi.
Statue Of Equality Tickets Price
The price for entry ticket is Rs 200 for an adult and Rs 125 for a child ( 5 to 12 years). There is enough space for car parking and they charge Rs 40 for car parking. You can skip the queue for ticket booking by booking online through their website. Click here to get your online entry passes.
Timings to visit Statue Of Equality
Visiting hours are : Monday To Sunday (except Wednesday)
First Entry : 11:00 am
Last Entry : 8:00 pm.
Musical Fountain Show timings are : 1:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm.
