We all are living in the world of Technology where it is next to impossible to keep us aloof from technology. Specially in this time of pandemic where everyone is home arrest, they are bound to use technology in every task of life. We can’t deny the fact that we are becoming the slave of technology. Most important technology has transformed the life of kids , the way they live, play – study.
Just like every coin has its two sides, the use of technology has its own pleasure and pain.
kids are very good observer. They mostly don’t learn from the things they are taught but they observe what the people around them are doing and they want to imitate the same thing. And adults these day are glued to their gadgets most of the time.
Proper use of technology can have positive effect on children, including :
- Enriched knowledge by reading various e-books .
- Playing mind games on computer/laptops make them faster and better decision maker.
- Technology provides education in a more entertaining way.
- Improves hand – eye coordination as their eyes are on screen and using their hands simultaneously.
- Can stay updated with all the information around the world, knowing the world more deeply.
Excessive use of Technology can also have serious outcome for children, including :
- Excessive use of technology during early age can result in reduced motor skill developments among the children.
- Prolonged screen time can have adverse effect on vision, neck strain and many more physical problems may arise.
- Children shows less interest in going out and socialize as they are very much involved in video games and other stuffs on internet.
- A very serious problem is that most of the kids who are surfing internet without adult’s supervision are exposed to pornography where they don’t have any clue what they are sharing or watching.
