How to slow down and enjoy life

Now you know that we need to live a slow paced life to enjoy our life. So let’s know the simple ways to have a slow paced life.

  1. Set Priorities

Do less, don’t make yourself over-occupied, it only reduces your efficiency. Don’t get carried away by your to-do list. Set priorities by analyzing your current situation, what is most important to you in this situation. Focus on the important things and accomplish them. Learn to let go of the rest of the non-essential tasks!!

2. Live in the present

In a rush to live happy in the future that no one knows whether it will come or not we forget the present time. We miss all the happiness of the current time. It is always good to plan for the future but that doesn’t mean you will skip the present time for the future. Live in the moment, enjoy the time you are having, and remember it will never come back.

3. Unplug from technology

It is the irony of modern life that technology is invented to make our work faster but it keeps us busy all time. We have become the slaves of technology. Today it is very hard to find a person who spends leisure time without using technology. We should restrict ourselves from excess use of technology. An article by Samantha Brodsky in PopSugar has explained that we need to learn to manage our devices instead of being managed by them.

4. Find the pleasure around you

Don’t miss the present moment in the wait for the best moment that is yet to come. The secret to having a happy life is to find happiness and contentedness in every little thing around you.

5. Learn to say no

There is no harm in saying no to something or someone that is difficult for you to commit. We should learn to say no and should not be guilty of that. It is part of life, we can’t meet everybody’s expectations. So it is better to maintain your sanity and don’t go overboard.

7. Count your blessings

Never take anything for granted, this pandemic had taught us this lesson very well. Yes, appreciate every little thing you have around you. It is better to be grateful for everything you have today rather than complaining. And take time to reflect on yourself, it may be that you didn’t get everything but what you have maybe the other person doesn’t have that also.

8. Deep Breathing

When you feel rushed or too much busy, deep breathing is the best way to slow down. Deep breathing is one of the finest ways to calm your mind and it helps us to feel stress-free.

9. Make time for yourself

Often it has been seen that while rushing in your life you lose your mental and physical wellness. Allocate some time for yourself in a day, spend time with exclusively yourself. As it is necessary to eat healthily and live a healthy lifestyle, staying mentally fit is also very much important. Do something that you love, only to feel good.
