Use your energy properly

We don’t have same energy levels through out the day. There are some time during the day when we are at peak of our energy level and feel like we are super mom and can do everything within a flash of time. But there are some moments too when we feel like a big no for each and every pending tasks as we feel like drained out. And it is obvious you can’t reach your destination when you are low on fuel. Therefore first complete the tasks that consume more energy, it will make you more relaxed through out the day. As it is said eat the frog first!!

Keep yourself away from distractions

We are aware of our modes of distraction and to save yourself from being disorganized you should stay away from all means of distractions. I am a shopaholic and am addicted to mindlessly scrolling any fashion sites I see on my screen. I am sharing from my own experience that it happened so many times with me that I took my phone to check time and then thought of checking some messages and from there I started scrolling all the new arrivals section of any websites and then guess what??

Almost half day passed without doing anything just because of checking time. But every problem has a solution and we are super moms. These days I keep my mobile little far so that its not in front of my eyes (not that much far that I couldn’t hear if anyone calls me ). And believe me, I am checking off my to-do list really fast.

Morning routine

Mornings are the best time of a day and it sets the tone for the entire day. Start of a day is the best time to give a fresh start for everything. It is the best time to focus on yourself, create your whole day to do list and prioritize your works. A productive morning routine makes you less stressed and relaxed and you will surely gain time.

Delegate few of your chores

It is an old misconception that a stay at home mom had to do all the household chores. As she does all the chores regularly so she does those tasks efficiently but that doesn’t mean that she can’t share her load. There is no competition of doing chores perfectly, it just need to be finished. She is spending sleepless nights she too need rest for the next day. And she stays at home doesn’t signify that she can take rest whenever she wishes. If a father spends a hectic day at office, a mom at home also spends her day working hard. And after that hard working day she had to continue till night meeting all the requirements of her family members. So moms, don’t hesitate to delegate a little part of your load, household chores are for all household members.

Plan your meal early

Eating a meal hardly takes 5 to 10 minutes and cooking that meal takes a lot of time and thinking about what to cook can take whole lot of time. You can save a lot of time if you plan your meal day before. Meal planning helps you to use your food properly without wasting and proper meal planning will also help you in making healthy meal options.

Everything doesn’t go according to plan. Moms are always challenged with unexpected things and they need to deal with that. So when you are flexible you can face those unexpected challenges of your life much easily. The word flexibility means the capability of bending without breaking yourself so this is what we need in our life during tough situations. Try to adapt the change and be more flexible and you will see the burden from your shoulders will be less.

Avoid frequent grocery shopping

As I have mentioned above you can save a lot of time if you plan your meal ahead. It will also help to prevent frequent visit to grocery shops. And we all know it well that frequent visit to grocery shops not only waste your time but we also end up buying unnecessary things. And those things get dumped into the refrigerator and we forget about the stuff and after few days we have to place them in trash cans. So plan your meals ahead and then prepare your list and buy only those things in one visit.

A stay at home mom have many mom moments that are full of loneliness, frustration, irritation, yelling at kids and many more blah blah. These feelings mainly rise due to lack of motivation. And during these low times think of the opportunity you got as a stay at home mom. Stay at home moms are so busy in taking care of other members of their family that they often forget to fill their own cup. Always remember that unless and until you take care of yourself, you will not have any fuel left in your body to run your household duties. I recently wrote a piece very similar and love how we think alike. The one thing you mentioned that stuck out for me was using energy wisely. I get on those mom highs and fall victim to doing too much. We moms are pretty amazing! 😊
